Depending on the size of the pill, I'd had to find different things to coat it with to coax my two to take. I wonder if pill shooters would be a better alternative... |
It really doesn't shoot it at all it just drops it down the throat. I got mine from a vet tech when Callie had surgery and they prescribed a pain med she would not take no mater what. I have never had one get stuck but I give her a treat or something afterwords to make sure there's no problems. If you click on my blog under my signature I review the pill shooter I use. It has to have a rubber tip or it can scratch there throat.
