thank you Dawn, apology accepted, you are right I did not realize you were joking, so I wanted to make it clear that while I am not a fan of leaving a dog in the road I would never suggest just taking it for keeps. To me removing a dog from what I felt was a dangerous situation and then trying to find out all the details to either return it to the owner or the authorities is a far cry from dog napping so I was really surprised by your reply, but now I see you were just trying to lighten the subject, no problem, glad we are still friends and that you don't think of me as a potential dog napper
After further reading I am saddened to think that the owners think it is fine for the dog to live outside and that a few others think that is sort of OK, it will only be a matter of time till some harm comes to that dog. Every city is different but I would still try to alert the closest humane society to see if they felt like intervening or at least talking to the owners. I know here in MI the humane society goes out on calls about dogs left outside all the time and some of the calls are just to educate.
Oh well enough said, I think by now you all know my feelings
