No Taylor that is not true, it is a stereotype IMHO. I know many non gun owners that live in texas! But in the country just like here in NY people tend to keep more guns, I'm sure that is true everywhere in the "country" rural areas.

I wouldn't suggest anyone go knocking on anyones door at night anymore, rural or not....but anywho. There is definitely a AC person somewhere in that area. This can be easily addressed by calling the Sheriff next time you see the dog and tell him about the danger of the dog and ask the Sheriff to knock on the door so that a resolution can be had. This is deeper than it should be, IMHO.
