There are many options I would try, but I would NEVER drive away several days in a row leaving a yorkie or really any other dog outside when no one is home. Here are some ideas. Make some phone calls to find out who takes care of loose dogs in that area, I am sure there is some agency that has jurisdiction over strays in the county a quick call to the non emergency police or sheriffs office could probably tell you that. Then depending what you find out would set up you next step. If they were unwilling or not able to pick up the dog quickly you could go back there with your boyfriend and if possible some of his friends, LOL maybe his hunting riffle close by would not be a bad idea. Knock on the door, if no one was home I would knock on some of the neighbors doors to see what I could find out. You could also bring your smart phone and do a reverse address lookup, perhaps they will be listed with a phone number or at least their names. Depending on what I found out from neighbors I may or may not leave the cell number of your boyfriend on their door. Bring treats some water, some food, a leash, collar and a carrier and go see if the dog is still there. Then if you do take the pup in, make sure you let the authorities know where he is and why you took him, then take him to the vet for a chip scan. But to leave him there and just keep talking about it is very sad
