Leave her enough stuff to entertain herself... toys, chew sticks that can't get stuck in her throat... I guess you could leave a radio or the TV on if you really think she is lonely.
I really don't think you are the only one that works and has a puppy.
I really can't relate because I got my first yorkie 6 years ago and I worked from home.... so my little one would just wait at the bottom of the stairs until I shut my computer off for the day.... he knew the sound.... I could pass him throughout the day... but he knew it wasn't play time until the computer was shut off... (smart guy... and he never climbed the stairs).
After my first, each additional yorkie always had a playmate... so they were never alone.
Don't worry, I am sure your little one will adjust to your schedule.
