I have a lab mix ad a Yorkie. Both my girls are home alone while I am at work and the human kids are at school. They have each other to keep company and so far there hasn't really been any issues with them being home. Please consider getting a doggy companion a couple days a week for your own comfort but realize that they love you and will happily sit home and wait for you if they know that at the end of the day you're coming home to them. Then the greetings you get when you walk in the door will mean more to you than anything you've experienced before.
