Cherry's hair is "breaking" I saw your message about Cherry's hair on the top of her head turning blonde below the black. My breeder/friend told me that when Taffy's hair did that, it meant that the "breaking" into a lighter color below foretells that the yorkie will have golden to light blonde hair on his head as an adult. (Taffy's head hair looked white at the roots at 14 weeks.) Well, she was correct, at age 3 years, Taffy now has lovely light blonde shades of hair all over his head...the black is all gone! His body hair has no black anywhere either, it has turned silver to pale greys, and his legs are all shades of blonde. It will be fun to keep photos of Cherry to compare her puppy coat to her adult coat by age 3. Some yorkies never change, some do. |
