Heck yes....If I lived as close to her as you do and was looking for a puppy to buy, she'd be first on my list of breeders to call!!

Not only does she have beautifully bred puppies, but she also has a great health contract.

A good piece of advice/info I've heard over and over here is this...you buy the breeder, not the puppy...and it's so true. If you buy a quality puppy from a good breeder, most likely, you are going to end up with a healthy, well balanced dog. If buy from someone who has no idea or doesn't care what they are doing, you are playing Russian roulette.

Make sure you look for someone who....

1.) keeps their puppies until they are 12 weeks of age.

~If they sell them earlier, the puppies can have developmental issues because it hasn't been with it's mother long enough to learn all that it needs to know. On top of that, you should question WHY they are getting rid of the puppy early...is it to save money or is it to get rid of it because there's something wrong with it health wise, or they want to get rid of it before whatever's wrong with it is noticeable. Whatever the case, good breeders hold their pups until 12 weeks of age.

2. Offers a Spay/Neuter Contract

~Any breeder who's got GOOD lines will want to protect their lines. If they don't have a spay/neuter contract, it may be because they don't have anything worthwhile to protect. It may be because they care more about money than they do their dogs...in that case, it will show through the quality of dogs they produce.

3. Offers a health contract

~If they are breeding healthy dogs, they should have no problem backing up their lines with a health contract. If they are above board and ethical, they should have no problem replacing a pup if something goes wrong genetically or something that isn't the fault of the owner. A lot of bad breeders aren't going to offer this because they'd be replacing puppies left and right. Good breeders who are confident in their lines will offer it because they do have healthy lines and while a fluke may happen here or there, most of their puppies are healthy and won't need to be replaced.

4. Make SURE you can see the facility you are buying the puppy from. Make sure you can see the parent!!

~If you can't see where you are buying your puppy, this is a big RED FLAG. You could be purchasing your puppy from a broker or a puppy mill or a BYB. If they aren't willing to show you their location, there's a chance it's because they've got something to hide. You don't want to buy your puppy from deplorable conditions. Furthermore, you don't want to support those kinds of businesses where dogs are forced to live in horrible conditions.

I personally would look for reviews online as well. If the breeder is shady, there's a chance someone will have reported having problems.

Pick a breeder who is breeding specifically to better the quality of the breed...because if they are breeding for those reasons, they are trying to breed the best dogs they can. They are striving to produce a puppy with good health, good genes, good disposition, good confirmation etc etc....so chances are, you will get a puppy with these traits.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't buy a dog from a pet store....because those dogs just come from puppy mills!!

Hope this helps!!
