Default Indoor potty training

The time has come for Cesar and I to move into a bigger house.

One drawback is that the new house doesn't have a door that goes straight to the backyard. The side door is about 8' from the fence.

So, I have decided that for the winter months Cesar will not be going outside, except for select days when the weather is nice.

What methods have those of you who have done the same thing recommend to help him adjust to using the bathroom in the house?

It took Cesar a long time to get house broken - almost a year. I think it's going to be difficult for him to learn to use the bathroom in the house, but overall I think it will be easier. Our winters are harsh and he only goes out for a quick minute and then runs back in. I would feel really bad on blistering cold days when he'd have to run out and it would be snowing hard, so I don't feel bad about him being in-doors 99% of the time this winter.

Recommendations please.
