What you or I may think is horrible or inhumane may not be so just because you see a pup running loose in and about an unpopulated area. Its apparent that this pup can only belong to this family and for you to deem them unfit to have this pup just for the way they allow their dog, Yorkie or otherwise to run free in is not your place. The pup evidently know its place and boundaries and is comfortable being alone in the outdoors. Not what myself or anyone would consider the best of situation for a Yorkies or any other small breed pup but it is not our place to judge.

Unless you can prove without a doubt that this pup is being harmed, unfed and not receiving the basic every day needs there is nothing you can do. Other than to express your concerns to the owners. But for you to just take this pup would be wrong!
Like I said before, we are trying to get in touch with the owners and I am not going to go and just take it. I realiZe that people have different views on how they should care for their dogs, but I believe if it is an unsafe situation something should be done. If we would not have been driving slow the other night there is a chance we might have hit that poor baby. I am not judging them I am worrying about the welfare of the dog.
