Yes, it does sometimes take a few days.

I agree about the knees and hips. If he is lifting one leg it sounds to me like it could be one or the other. You said "legs" so not sure if it is both or one. Pay attention to this as it is a big clue.

I would just check with the vet about it. Good luck!
