Poor baby. No input with regard to cause. However, please take a flashlight and immediately check the pup's airway and tongue to make sure there's no constriction. Listen for changes in breathing. It's possible for an allergic reaction to swell mouth, throat, tongue, and nasal passageways, either partially or (heaven forbid) completely. Periodically check and compare to previous checks until the vet visit. Please try to get the appointment moved up.
