Personally, I am
really not fond of my Bailey sitting by me and watching me eat!! It drives me crazy and I can't enjoy my meals that way. I tell him to 'go' and he does, usually eyeing me from somewhere that I can't see him looking at me. Smarty pants! If there is something that I would like to give to him, veggies mostly, and sometimes a tiny piece of meat or some brown rice, I wait til I'm finished and then tell Bailey to go to his bowl. That is the only time I feed him from my plate. Having said that, when I eat an apple and I sit on the couch, I have allowed him to sit beside me. I place a tiny piece (no skin of course, as it may get stuck in his throat) on a towel on the couch which he hoovers up instantly.
He loves his apples!! As yours, Bailey is not allowed in the kitchen for
any reason. YT'ers are very quick, so I would feel terrible if I dropped something that he picked up and may make him sick, or worse, choke. All the best with your furbaby.
