It takes time
I rescued Charlie about 3 months ago, he's also 2, and now he's a velcro dog !! Don't forget, you are both getting to know each other ! You're in it for life, so don't expect to learn everything about her overnight. Try different kinds of toys, different kinds of treats. She may also have a lot of pent up energy, so take her for some really good long walks or maybe even a run ! If you have any off leash dog parks, that's always a good idea
