I share everything I eat that isn't dangerous, but I hand out small bites so they aren't given so much that it interferes with their regular dry kibble meals. They are all very polite and take turns for their bites. I have them sit in a row and call out their name before I hand down the treat. If one gets too anxious and starts to beg or take someone else's treat, that dog misses a turn in the rotation. If I am eating something they can't have I don't make eye contact with the three sad faces and they go lay down.
Begging is a bad behavior that is caused from lack of training - not because they are fed treats from the table. |
