We have an answer! he is allergic to the Royal Canine Yorkshire Terrier 28 food, its recommended for skin and coat. There must be something in there that does not agree with him. He was itchy and scratching all the time. Because it was a relatively new addition to his diet, it was not terribly difficult to work out the problem. He has not been allergic to any food prior to this.
