I don't shop at all during the Thanksgiving weekend, it's stupid really since you can find most everything close to the same price later on. Standing on line for hours waiting for the stores to open and then on line to pay is not worth saving a few bucks. Now I hear that the mall will be open during the day on Thanksgiving and so is Wallmart but they put tape around they so called big bargins.
I wonder if Hobby Lobby will be open for all the doorbuster crap. I give that store a lot of credit for not even opening on Sundays, they are about family values and I don't think their sales suffer a bit. My SIL was in retail and she lived in Chicago she could never come home for Christmas because everyone at the store had to be there at at 7 am the day after to handle all the returns. I can see why those with family in retail would feel very differently about the holidays. |
