I always assumed the tear stains were because they had hair in their eyes. With my older male, I use the clippers and trim right underneath the eyes and that's helped some. He will sit still for me though. My little guy....there's no way I am putting clippers or scissors near there. He is too squirmy and he's constantly got hair in his eyes right now bc it's growing out. I was putting his hair in a pony tail and using hair clips to hold the short stuff back...but he will go rub his face on a pillow until he pulls all the short hairs out. I started french braiding his hair a few days ago because the pony tail holder left a red spot on top of his head. He doesn't like the braid either.
I am going to pick up some distilled water today to see if it helps!!
Has anyone tried any of the tear stain pills...wanna say angel eyes?!? |
Try the Gerber (baby water) PURE mixing water. They sell it @ walmart in the baby section.

I would avoid angel eyes since it has tylan/ antibiotic in it. Once you stop it, the eye staining/ red yeast comes back.
