Maggie is 10 pounds so less risk of being stepped on. She's learned to stay out of the way. Are there going to be many small children? They would be my only concern as far as possible injuries. I always warn guests not to drop chocolate and keep an eye on the floor.

We have had some events with a lot of people and I have noticed that Maggie will just go find a quiet place if she needs to. A couple times we couldn't find her, only to realize she had gone into her crate! She only sleeps there at night, but the door is always open during the day and if she is freaked out (like when the new heater was getting installed--lots of banging and drilling) she will go in there. I guess she feels safe.
