If you can take him out in the morning and let him do his business and then spend a little time with him and then into the crate. I am sure you go to work and it may seem like a long time to leave him in there but it is tough love right now. He will not pee or poop in there probably. He might but that will end quickly. Dogs will not pee and poop where they sleep. That will act as his room. You need to make sure that the crate is as small as he is. If it is to big, he will fail. Note that he is young and may slip up. That's ok! He will get it! Then when you get home take him out immediately. He will learn the process and it takes hard love but it will pay off! Trust me. I am doing the same right now. Oh and by the way, I am not sure how he can contract rabies unless he gets bitten. Praise,praise, praise, when he goes outside. Good Boy!!!
