I agree with yorkiepip. Kiwi may have had a rough start in life, but you can make sure the rest is terrific. Be sure to take her in for a vet check if you haven't already.
And don't worry about the midterm. Just tell the prof. a cute Yorkie ate your notes. Bring Kiwi in, and you're home free.
