Raw aside (and yes, the majority of vets are against it for various reasons), I'd be very careful with a diet like this. I know it is appealing to raw feeders and people with a holistic view point, but it is also not formulated to meet the criteria of a good kidney diet (set by veterinary nutritionists). One of the major objectives is to lower phosphorus. They have not done this.
I can see holistic vets gravitating toward this, but mainstream vets won't, nor will boarded nutritionists. ,
