I asked Buddy Belts about the use of the BB2 in water. They said the BB2 should not bleed color or change shape. Just lay flat to dry afterward. However, keep in mind the hardware is metal and may react to salt water, chlorinated water, or being submersed for long periods.
We have used our leather Buddy Belts in snow and rain for over 4 years and not had a problem.
