My dog is pretty big but is very well trained and obedient. (We had a guinea pig and it was her best friend, haha.) she is also crate trained, as would be the new puppy we want for safety while unsupervised.
I think my price point has definitely gone up with all the research I've been doing. The low prices catch my interest, but then I get nervous and remember you get what you pay for!
Pet insurance I'd say I'd definitely have, especially with the price of the dog. Hell yes I'd say it's worth it!
I appreciate your essay, thank you! |
Judy is a very kind woman, and absolutely loves Yorkies, mayhap you could still email her, and ask for her recommendations with-in Texas. Judy lives, breathes, and "eats" Yorkies. She is a very very knowledgeable breeder, who I have not had the opportunity to meet in person, but have had the opportunity to speak many times with her over the phone.
Let her know you come from Yorkie Talk and Gail has suggested that you talk with her.
Due to new APHIS regulations some to many small breeders might be shortly disappearing from the scene. It is a complex matter, which if you search on here you can read up on. Small home based breeders are seriously considering their options.
I wish you much luck in your search.
