What do you mean by destructive? Does she chew molding or something? If you are building and have a room for them why not just put a cheap lineoleum over the subfloor for now and let them have free rein? Then you can close the door, have no furniture in there except for their bed and food bowls, potty pads and some toys? Sounds like doggy heaven! When she is able to have free rein some day then lay carpet down or hardwood. Just close the door. We keep Jess in the mudroom when we are out. She has everything she needs and some run room..
