Your pup takes after the grandparents. That's why its important to know the sizes of not only the parents and grandparents, but that of all the pups they have thrown. Genetics is wonderfully complicated.
I'm glad you are happier with her being bigger. I'm partial to the bigger ones myself. More to love.
Depending on the type of food 1/4 cup might be perfect. In general, the better the food quality, the less volume they need.
