Poor little darling. What does she usually eat as her regular diet? Hopefully her little belly is all healed up so you can get her on a more nutritious meal plan soon.
I have read about diet deficiency being a cause of some destructive chewing but for the most part boredom is what causes dogs to develop bad habits like chewing, barking, etc. It could be just the anxiety of her mum being away. Hope so anyway. Salmon from fish that don't have mercury levels are usually a healthy treat.
