I have trained Tibbe and he's a very well-behaved dog that will comply - albeit with growls and protests sometimes - with any command or request but basically he's spoiled to death, has the free run of the house, furniture and anything he wants. He's so cute that he gets his heart's desires. But as he's obedience trained, if I tell him not to do something this time - no matter how many times he's been allowed in the past - he knows not to do it. I think for me and my little baby that works better for us. Train them well and they will do what you ask when it matters. Besides, I want him on the couch right beside me when watching TV, reading, etc.
