I've ALWAYS wanted a yorkie. My mom has been an award winning Dog Groomer for many many years (Mechele Pryor/Colvin, if that rings an bells). I do have one dog, she's a german shepherd / golden retriever mix. My husband and I want to add another dog to our family, and I've finally 100% decided the only thing I want is a Yorkshire terrier. (The one in my head even has a name -- Cricket. --Don't judge me, I've wanted this since I was 8. I'm 23 now.)
Anyway, I've been researching breeders around the area, and have come across way more than I expected. ((Especially a ton of them that have terrifying reviews when I google them, which is how I got here. So THANK YOU for this web site!!)) I work for a school district and I'm off all summer long, so I really want to find a puppy around that time, so she can adjust to our home with us there. :)
I've seen prices anywhere from 400 - 3,000.... and while I'm not expecting the price to be super low (the ones around 400 seem to be the scary review ones of course.) I'm not looking for over 1,000. I'm not intending of breeding or using her for a show dog. I'm just a crazy dog lady.
If you have any breeders you can recommend, please let me know!
