We had a beagle that if you did not dry his he would get raw spots/sores plus he had staining. Sammy my moms yorkie gets crunchy ones and I am sure if they where not wiped away they would scratch his eye. Callie will try to wipe her own eyes if I don't and could possibly scratch her eye with her dew claw.
