When mine do this type of vomiting, like you I vet then I usually pull out the pedialyte for drinking, and even before I do the bland diet, I will do "gut rest", where intake is limitd to liquids, for 14 - 24 hours. After that, I start my bland diet, very slowly, small amounts, every 4 hours......slowly increasing meal size according to tolerance. Of course, you have to knw your "patient" and able to recognize any other symptoms that cause concern. |
