Jut went through fleas a few months ago...and my boys itched and itched.

I used hydrocortinzone cream and I covered them up with clothes so they couldn't scratch themselves raw. I've used benedryl in the past to help with the itching, but my vets gave my older guy steroids this time around and it did seem to help a lot more than benedryl.

I used a product called "Knockout" in my house. It's made by Virbac and I got it at the vets office. It's a spray that you can use on your furniture and their bedding. I am not very fond of using any kind of chemicals in my house, but I could not get rid of the little buggers....finally after using that, and a natural flea bath, with frontline and sentinal on the boys, I was able to get rid of them....but they were itching for a LONG time afterwards. Still not sure how much of the itching was fleas and how much was seasonal allergies, but they were itching for a good month or 2 after I found my last flea.
