Never used that on a doggie but...
The idea sounds very similar to the clipper vac system. At my old job, the groomers had connections on their clippers to hook on to the vacuum. Obviously, it has a very light suction. And it worked very well, as far as picking up all the cut hair. It would cut the hair shorter then normal, and we never used it in sensitive areas with thin skin (armpits, and the fold of skin that connects the leg to the body). Because it could suck the skin up into the clippers and cut it.
