It is good that you took her to the vet right away, and I would continue to follow the vet's advice, and xray if it continues.

It could be a muscle strain from the jumping, or maybe she jumped and landed wrong. Just another possibility, I'm sure the vet is considering.

My Tiki landed wrong when jumping off the bed when she was a little less than a year old. The vet checked her out and didn't feel or see indication of anything broken and said it was a sprain. Tiki continued to limp for another 2 weeks before she put that back foot down. I think even today at 5 years old, she has a tendency to very slightly favor that back leg and I think it even turns outward very slightly. However, it was a minor injury that did not need splinting.
