Default Marilyn Muttroe lied and cheated.. Why?

I ordered what was to be a gift from Marilyn Muttroe in September and 2 weeks later, order status was still "pending". Had problems getting through to customer service but after a few calls and emails, they changed the order status to "shipped". Another 2 weeks passed & no item received! Again, had problems getting through to customer service but finally received an email stating that the item will be shipped "next week" (so they lied!) or if I preferred, I can cancel and they will refund my Paypal. I immediately requested the latter as I was left with no choice but to buy another gift elsewhere and now, days later, they have yet to refund my Paypal account! I was left with no recourse but to file a dispute and MM had the nerve to send me a nasty email basically holding my money 'hostage'. I truly don't understand why they lied and why they made what should be a simple transaction so difficult. Never again!
