We neutered a 3 year old cocker rescue. It reduced some of the marking and most if the humping, but didn't eliminate it completely. Testosterone is produced by both the testicles and by the adrenal glands. Neutering will reduce testosterone levels by about 90%, but not get rid of it completely.
