it will take until she trusts again....is there anyway you can keep her? if she keeps getting shuffled and taken by people who dont understand the dos and donts a of puppy mill baby she will never feel safe. it took my lola a whole year to open up and come around. still to this day she will shake when we get in the car...i think she fears we will be dumping her off as her previous owner did. some times she goes backwards but we just keep trying to move forward and keep her feeling safe and very loved. she trusts you most obviously and has bonded with you. my lola is the same...she eats when im not there but my dh says she waits for me all day long. i hope things work out for this baby.
