I don't think he is honking. When I comb his face and head in the morning and evening I sometimes hold him the wrong way and if I touch the front of his throat the wrong way he will hack. I'm trying to teach him to lay down on a rolled towel like I watched on a youtube video, make it so he doesn't move so much. Keeping his face clean without holding him has become a trial in itself!
