Alfie has been on phenobarbitone for a number of years now ,he has regular blood test and everything is coming back fine. He was initially having the odd fit then every 6 weeks but then got to sometimes having 3 fits a day at his very worst. We then took the advice from specialist at the vet college and he has been on medication since.i was against it at first but it works for him . He does still have the odd fit but is much better on the meds.
I hope this is a one off for your little one and that he never has another.
