I have been working on a feather skirt dress design for TPH. Can I ask, how did you attach your feathers to the skirt? I've tried sewing mine (hand sew), which worked, but was really tedious. Then I tried fabric glue, which was a breeze, but I wonder how that will hold up in the long run. Any suggestions? |
Hi there. I kind of cheated a little with the feathers. Since it is Halloween there are plenty of boas out there. I bought a boa and cut the length I needed to go around the skirt. Since the feathers are sewn to a thicker string I was able to hand sew the string to the bottom of the dress. This is the only place I have been able to buy feathers so far as we only have 2 fabric stores around but it works rather well. Hope this helps.
