 Won't go potty with E-collar on
So my pup just got neutered and the vet says he has to wear an E-collar (the cone) for 10-14 days that way he doesn't try to lick or bite his stitches. Its been about 4 days and I noticed that he won't use the potty with the E-collar on. I'm guessing its because he feels awkward. When I came home from a full day at work, I noticed that his pee pad was clean and he did not potty ALL day! This is definitely not good as I am away for 8+ hours. Have any of you experienced this? Any suggestions? When I am home, I remove the cone and let him move around, eat, and use the potty while making sure he won't lick his stitches. I cannot remove the cone fully without supervision. I just don't want him to hold it in whenever he's wearing the E-collar. |
