It is so sad that the others she was with before you did not take the time to properly train her and than just dumped her onto the next family. Now you are left with a difficult dog and the frustration on getting her trained.
Don't give up on her she needs you to love and care about her enough to do the right thing and teach her what is expected of her. I wish you much luck and please, please do not get discouraged. At her age it will take persistence and lots of time and patience in order to get her trained but it is doable !!
