Is there anyway that on your lunch break(or breakfast) you would be able to run home and check in on your little one? We got Gizmo when he was 8 weeks and my husband and I both work Mon-Fri but luckily our schedules are offset a little so he was never home alone for more then 5-6 hours.

If you decide to get a young pup make sure that the first few days you are off work so that you can help them acclimate to your house, pee pad train (if necessary) and start to get your pup into a routine.

I also like what the others said about maybe getting an older Yorkie so that you don't have to worry as much about longer periods of time and deciding what you think is best for your future pup.

Good Luck in your decision!
