I have no idea how Max started the 4 pm dinner thing. It works for both Max and Teddy, so I haven't tried changing it.
I know, but it took years to fine tune it. Tiki started out picky so I did partial home cooking, Meika came along and she love everything and would finish up Tiki's, then lil Kayla & Karlee joined the pack and had to eat fast so Meika wouldn't steal their food. After a couple years I had Tiki with mild MVD, Meika a little overweight, Kayla & Karlee with tiny mouths & teeth struggling with normal size kibble. So lucky to find Wellness Small Breed for Healthy Weight; it works so well for all 4 and no more home cooking supplementation. I just put 1/3 cup in each of 4 bowls, and bam, it's gone. So easy now and they are all doing so well, at 4 and 5 yrs. old.
