I think it can be easy to miss. A few weeks ago Cookie's vulva was swollen and later on I noticed a tiny bit of blood on it in addition to much more licking, but there nothing really obvious before or after. I talked to my breeder and she said it sounded like she had gone into heat from my description. She is about to turn 7 months in another week.
