everybody has a magic cure for house training a difficult dog. I was on here asking for help myself because I have had dogs all my life 2 and 3 at a time and NEVER did it take more than a week or two to get them house trained. Then we got our Yorkie. I didn't think we would ever get him trained then finally around 8 mos we realized that he wasn't having any accidents. What worked for us was simply persistence. You know the normal times that they go, when they wake up, after they eat, after a rowdy play session, and any time you get a chance in between. Don't scold unless you catch them in the act and then don't go ballistic a few harsh NOs does the trick they get the idea that you are not pleased, and you just have to be vigilant and stick to it your dog will get the idea eventually. It doesn't take crates or pads or tethers mostly persistence. I am sure those other methods have worked for some people but some dogs take longer than others.
