You could also try leaving a pretty night light on, I have one that changes every couple seconds, and it has water with an ocean scene in it. I also put on soft soothing music at night for him so he hears noise that is soothing and makes him sleep. He sleeps in the living room in an xpen, because I have a 2 story town home that has an open staircase, and I'm scared he would go through the railing and hurt himself :-) I also have 3 kitties who will not accept any closed doors in my house lol. So I got Gizmo a nice comfy xpen from richell, and it's big enough for his bed, food and water, as well as his potty pad holder.

With the night light and the soothing music, he sleeps right through the night without. Sound. So if sleeping in your bedroom can't work, maybe a night light and some soft music will calm him. It sounds like he may be a bit anxious from the experience?
