Puppy heads and hair might be more sensitive. Try giving her head a rest from the barrettes and stick to bands or nothing at all.
When my boys were younger, I took down their topknots every night and massaged their scalps. The only reason I started leaving them up overnight is that their topknot hair is so long, they end up chewing it or getting it in their eyes. I use tiny scrunchies or latex bands to give their heads a rest. |
OMG I remember that! The barrette was clipped onto the skin on her head...poor baby. I just don't understand how that could happen.

I just cut 6" off Mimi's top knot again, she has a fountain now loll. Every night after I brush her teeth, I undo her top knot, brush it & put it up w/mini terry scrunchies. Then I re-do her hair in the am. Princess doesn't have too much hair, so she wears the snag free bands all the time.
