I'm so happy that he found his furever home! I can't imagine how heartbreaking it was for you to take him back. I have a feeling that you would not have let him remain in the shelter for very long, but you loved him enough to give him a shot at finding a home that could be even better than yours. I surely wouldn't criticize you for doing what you felt was the right thing for him.
