I really feel bad for some of the things that Megan got fed, but she lived a long 15 years, when she wasn't supposed to live out her 1st year. When we got Gina, my mom asked if we were going to feed her table scraps, we told her no, and my wife made a Gina safe list of foods that she could have, and a no no list of foods she couldn't. I put Gina in her x-pen, while I'm cooking and we are eating, it's safer for both of us with all of my physical issues. Zoey is your baby, and you have every right to dictate what she can and can't have, and make sure everybody who comes over, or lives there, knows and follows your rules. I would explain the reasons why, and crate her during meal times, to prevent any accidental or purposeful feedings. Good luck.
Cheers Quad
